Why I became an osteopath

A journey that has shaped my practice

My journey into osteopathy didn’t begin in a classroom; it began through my own experiences with injury, recovery, and learning firsthand how much pain can affect every part of your life. Having spent time on both sides of the treatment room, I saw the difference that thoughtful, hands-on care can make, not just in relieving pain, but in helping someone feel understood, supported, and confident in their body again.

That experience shaped the way I work today. It’s why I’m passionate about continual learning, understanding the body as a whole, and giving every patient the time, attention, and care they need to recover in a way that fits real life.

Why come and see me?

Whole-body approach

I look beyond your symptoms to understand what’s really driving your pain.

Treatment tailored to you

My care and treatment are shaped around your body, your lifestyle, and your recovery.

Always learning

Osteopathy and learning more about the body are fundamental passions of mine. I am continuously developing my skills to offer thoughtful, up-to-date care.

Experience that matters

I am a practitioner who has 'been there,' and therefore my approach is shaped by both professional training and personal experience.

"Highly recommend Neil in Southside Osteopaths! I brought my little
Boy (11weeks) due to generalised discomfort and poor sleep. Neil was able to extrapolate the issues from a very tired mum and within three sessions brought about a huge positive change in my baby’s comfort and sleep!"
